An excellent week – we’re £300 up on last week for a grand total of £9,957. Five figures are beckoning!

£150 of that came from one person who generously donated their birthday money and they are on the road to recovery

Appears to me that there are a few people being as generous as they can and sadly lots not getting involved Sad

Pity really because it's such a simple idea and it's about saving money and donating a little of that saving.

We’re over the £10,000 mark this week – well done, everybody! Our grand total now stands at £10,375 and we’re a whopping £418 up on last week.

We’ve had a particularly generous single donation of £100 from Patrick Williams (thank you, Patrick!) to our Ramsay Research Fund JustGiving page and a good number of smaller but equally welcome sums – it all adds up! There’s an interesting story behind the £50 donated by Peter Down to our MERUK JustGiving page; his donation message reads, “The Sun newspaper sent my wife £50 after they published a letter calling for biomedical research following Lynn Gilderdale’s tragic death.” So, activism pays off (literally!). Thank you, Peter, and all who donated this week.

We’ve had one of our best weeks ever – we’re up £582 on last week, in large part due to a single gift-aided credit card donation of £250 to MERUK. Thank you, that kind person and everyone who donated – whether the money comes as a big blob or many small blobs, it all adds up!

Our grand total now stands at £11,174
