Hey Nikki,
Just wanted to check in and see how Ada is going with the whole bed wetting thing.
If she's all dry now, that's ace!

However, if you're still having problems, we finally saw the paediatrician yesterday with Ella-Grace (2 weeks early, too!) and he gave us a couple of tips that I thought might be worth passing on.
Firstly, his diagnosis was vulvavaginitis - an inflammation of said areas and is apparently super common in young girls. The cause of it is because little girls have very little oestrogen until they hit puberty, the membranes in that area are paper thin and therefore extremely easy to irritate. And of course once it's irritated it's sore and itchy and so the little girl scratches, rubs or whatever which only exacerbates the problem.
The suggestions he made are very easy and certainly won't do any harm if it's not the issue, so they may be worth a try...
1. White vinegar baths. Pour some vinegar into a relatively shallow bath and allow Ada to sit in it for 10-15 min. Helps reduce the irritability of the area.
2. Use nappy cream on the area
3. If Ada has never been "wormed" then just do it as a precaution. Dr Hart looked at Ella-Grace and said he didn't see any evidence of worms, but sometimes the worms can be sneaky and only showthemselves at night where they irritate the delicate areas, so it's an easy enough thing to do and again, it won't hurt her if thereare no worms.
4. Make sure her knickers are loose and easy to breathe. I realise now that one of Ella's major issues with this is that she tends to pull her knickers up so high, she may as well be wearing a g-string!

I have recently bought her different, slightly larger knickers, so hopefully that will also help.
Think that's it. Hopefully you don't need any of that advice, but if you do, hopefully something works.
